2 Diplomats Confuse Nairobi Court

The High Court in Nairobi has summoned two diplomats to appear before it to confirm the real suspect in a case involving a Sh7.5 Million debt.

Justice Farah Amin issued the order following a submission by Lawyer Martin Tebino who decried lack of clear distinction between Ambassadors Henry Muthee Kathurima and Harry Mutuma Kathurima with regard to  who should face the debt charges.

The debt, according to the complainant Abdiwahid Affey, who is also the Director of Ruman Logistics, arose after he gave Henry Muthee Kathurima a soft loan of Sh10 Million but the accused only paid Sh2.5 Million.

Interestingly, both Mr Muthee and Mr Mutuma have been diplomats before. Henry was once an Ambassador to the United States and Holland while Harry previously served as a Diplomat in Sri Lanka, India and Singapore.

Lawyer Tebino had expressed concern over the case as serving Henry had become difficult since the court always ended up addressing Harry.
