Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has disclosed his plan to expose President Uhuru Kenyatta's 'lies' when the Head of State visits Mombasa later this month.
The President is scheduled to launch MV Jambo Ferry on June 27 in Likoni.
Speaking to journalists on Friday, Joho disclosed that he would hold a parallel rally in Kisauni to coincide with the president's event.
During his event, the governor promised to stream live proceedings from the president's function and respond immediately to any lies told by the president.
The governor stated that he was aware that Jubilee was already planning to block him from the event.
As a result, he would not attend the event but would put his people at the event to capture and stream live what the president would be saying.
"They can decide whoever will attend or be blocked. But they won't see me there. I will hold a political rally in Kisauni and Mombasa and will be told the truth," he added.
The relationship between the governor and the president has been rocky with the Joho being barred from attending functions presided over by the president.
The latest was during the launch of the Standard Gauge Railway in Miritini where police officers barred the governor from accessing the venue.
The Mombasa Governor had given the president an ultimatum to come clean on an extra Sh100 Billion allegedly lost in the SGR project, failure to which he would disrupt the event
Joho accused the president of launching projects funded by donors and previous governments and corruption. He challenged the Jubilee administration to list any projects launched by it from scratch.
