Nakuru County Jubilee Leaders Warn Raila Odinga to Avoid Incitement During Nakuru Tour

Opposition Leader Raila Odinga and National Super Alliance (NASA) principals have been warned by Nakuru County Jubilee leaders to avoid any form of incitement during their Wednesday campaign tour.

Nakuru County Woman Representative Liza Chelule and Kuresoi South Member of Parliament Joseph Tonui on Tuesday warned that they would not entertain any loose talk from the former premier.

"Allow him to peacefully walk round but ignore him.We cherish co-existence among the forty-two tribes living here," Chelule stated.

She further noted that Raila's 'loose talk' was likely to "endanger lives of his few supporters at the county."

"He clearly knows that he will definitely fail and that is why he is inciting Kenyans," she stated.

Chelule's sentiments were, however, dismissed by Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) Nakuru County Woman Representative aspirant Gladys Kamuren who asked Ms Chelule to mind her own business.

"Chelule is a proven failure who is after selfish gains. What does she share in common with Raila?" Kamuren posed.

The aspirant further noted that Kenya is a democratic country where everybody had the freedom to campaign anywhere without intimidation.

"If she has evidence that Raila incited Kenyans in Kajiado let her rush to any nearby police station and record statement," Kamuren stated.

The Jubilee leaders' warning comes barely a week after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader was accused of inciting Kajiado residents against 'outsiders' who allegedly wanted to grab their land.

Mr Odinga, however, dismissed the claims stating that he was misquoted.
