Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke Bashed After Posting Video of Kidero Carrying Potatoes

Kenyans on Twitter on Thursday shamed Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and his deputy Jonathan Mueke for posting a video showing the Governor helping a mkokoteni puller pick up his sacks of potatoes after they fell off along Uhuru Highway.

The video shared by Mueke, which was meant to show a "caring and down to earth" side of the governor, was however not convincing enough for Kenyans as they bashed the duo for their failed publicity stunt.

Here is the post by the Mr Mueke:

One user thought the Deputy was sabotaging the governor.

Sir why are you pulling a prank on your boss? Cmon this ain't funny plus your intended audience are not on twitter.

Some took the opportunity to remind the Governor of his obligations to Nairobi voters.

Good gesture for publicity. Better if he solves the problems they face! And the traffic congestion they cause @ntsa_kenya @county_nairobi

And what business does a mkokoteni have on Uhuru Highway? You had 5 years to fix that! Sit down.

— WillyG (@WillyGakuya) June 22, 2017

Anything for because its election time....ingekua September he could have sent Kanjos to arrest the Mkokoteni fellow

A staunch supporter of the governor was also against the video.
