Government Revokes Appointment of Samuel Poghisio and Taraiya ole Kores Who Quit Jubilee

President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked the appointment of Taraiya ole Kores as the chairman of Kenya Meat Commission.

This came a week after he ditched the Jubilee Party and declared his support for the Opposition coalition, National Super Alliance (NASA).

Kores fell out with Jubilee after he lost the party's nomination ticket for the Kajiado gubernatorial race.

He accused the party of rigging the nominations in favour of former Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku.

The president has appointed Ntoros Baarlole Senteu to take his place.

Meanwhile, Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia has revoked the appointment of Samuel Poghisio as the Chairman of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Board.

Poghisio will be contesting for the West Pokot Senate seat on a Kenya African National Union (KANU) Party ticket.

His place has been taken by Joseph Nakodayo Nkadayo.

Civil servants have in the recent past come under fire for their involvement in Jubilee Party campaigns with NASA demanding the prosecution of all those involved in campaigns.
