NACADA Recommends Closure of All Bars 1 Week Before Elections

The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has recommended that bars be closed one week before the August elections.

NACADA CEO Victor Okioma stated that the move would be geared towards ensuring Kenyans will not be under the influence of alcohol when going to the polls.

However, the proposal did not go down well with a majority of Kenyans who criticised the move at the same time giving suggestions on how they would deal with the situation.
