NASA Planning to Supply Drugged Brew Before Election - Jubilee Leaders Claim

A section of Jubilee leaders claims that the National Super Alliance (NASA) plans to supply “drugged” brew before the August General Election to prevent people from voting.

Speaking when campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta, the leaders alleged that there was a plan to take the brews to Jubilee strongholds during the election period.

According to one of the campaigners, NASA planned to supply the alcohol which would make electorates sleep for two days and fail to vote for President Kenyatta.

Among those in the campaign team include Gichugu MP Njogu Barua, Mathenge Nderitu (Gilgil) and Maragua lawmaker Kamande Mbuku.

“They want to bring drugged alcohol such that when you drink it, you sleep for two days. They have panicked and that is why they plan this evil. Please, if you love President Uhuru Kenyatta, don’t drink during election time," they claimed.

Mbuku, on his part, said this happened during the Grand Coalition when he alleges different brews were introduced in Mt Kenya region to reduce the effectiveness of the voters.

The sentiments were echoed by the Gilgil MP who urged Jubilee supporters and business people to avoid consuming and selling alcohol during the election day.

"Supporters, especially those in the Mt Kenya region, should not consume alcohol days to the election. I want all those who operate bars not to sell alcohol. One day will not make you poor,” he stated.

This came a few days after NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga vowed to legalise traditional brews including Chang'aa if elected into office.
