Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama Speaks on Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka Leaving NASA

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has claimed that if he ever leaves the National Super Alliance (NASA), Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka would follow suit.

Speaking at the City Stadium during an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) meeting organised for Kambas living in Nairobi, Muthama noted that Musyoka would leave the coalition based on their relationship.

The Senator asserted that he still shared a close friendship with the Wiper Party leader and that he is the fulcrum around which Kalonzo's political moves revolve.

"If Kalonzo leaves Wiper or NASA, I will also leave and if I leave, Kalonzo won’t stay," Muthama alleged.

He dismissed media reports that have painted the picture of a nasty fallout between the two and outlined that he had been misunderstood.

He compared Kalonzo to veteran Ukambani leaders, Paul Ngei, Muindi Mbingu and General Jackson Mulinge implying that they had steered the community to high positions in government but their progress had been unfairly curtailed.

"My political detractors have all along misunderstood me. My work is to ensure that what happened to Ngei, Muindi Mbingu, and even Mulinge does not happen to Kalonzo," Muthama explained.

He drummed up support for Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and hinted that NASA had promised him (Muthama) a national role in government if they ascend to power.

The two were accompanied by Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke, Makadara MP hopeful George Aladwa and Woman Representative candidate Esther Passaris.
