National Super Alliance (NASA) Flag bearer Raila Odinga will not participate in the presidential debate scheduled for next week.
While making the announcement, NASA chief publicist Salim Lone stated: "Raila Odinga will not participate in the presidential debate under the current proposed format and stipulation".
"The NASA presidential campaign secretariat has urged the President to be open to debating Raila on issues affecting Kenyans in the present circumstances," Lone said.
Earlier on, Jubilee Party Vice-Chairman David Murathe announced that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not participate in next week's presidential debate.
Mr Murathe noted that Kenyatta will miss the Monday, July 10th debate as the organizers had not consulted with the President's team.
The debate will take place at the Catholic University of East Africa.
