Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti's Chief of Staff Resigns

Homa Bay County Government Chief of Staff has resigned accusing cartels of interfering with his work.

Governor Cyprian Awiti's aide Isaac Abuya claimed that there were forces opposed to the development agenda of the County.

Speaking to journalists, Abuya who did not name the alleged cartels divulged that they had been frustrating his work and eventually forced him out of office.

“I passionately wanted to streamline and lay down a structured work system for improving Homa Bay but it is unfortunate oppressors couldn’t allow me,” he said.

The adviser stated that he had parted ways with the Governor and would now work with Awiti's competitor, Kasipul MP Oyugi Magwanga.

He divulged that the said individuals were against his suggestions adding that it had also affected the overall development of the county.

“I would advise the Governor on projects I knew would resonate with residents but I realised we differed most of the time on implementation ideologies," added Abuya.
