President Uhuru Kenyatta Warns Judiciary Against Frustrating IEBC

President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared he will not accept the postponement of the August 8 polls.

Addressing a rally at Kabartonjo town in Baringo County on Sunday afternoon, he warned the Judiciary against frustrating the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

“Don’t think just because you [Judiciary] have independence you can interfere with other arms of the government and the will of the people,” Uhuru stated.

He also warned NASA flag bearer, Raila Odinga against threatening violence if the opposition does not win the August polls.

President Kenyatta added that he had video evidence of Raila’s supporters declaring there would be no peace if the NASA flag bearer wasn’t elected.

Uhuru's warning comes after the High Court canceled the tender to print the presidential ballot papers that had been awarded to Dubai-based firm Al- Ghurair on Friday.
