Siaya Senator James Orengo claims that Jubilee Members of Parliament (MPs) could impeach National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga if he becomes President.
Speaking at a political rally in Rarieda Constituency, Orengo warned that if the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) fails to secure sufficient seats in both houses of parliament in August and Odinga wins the Presidency, he might be impeached.
Orengo expressed concerns that Jubilee candidates could get more seats than ODM in the August House if more was not done to ensure the opposition clinched victory.
The Senator noted that he would ensure the Orange party secures all seats in Siaya county during the August 8 General Election.
He pleaded with electorates in Nyanza region to vote in ODM candidates in the forthcoming election.
The lawyer stated that he would tour the whole county to campaign for all ODM party candidates within the remaining 24 days.
He further drummed up support for the re-election of Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga who is facing stiff competition from Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo.
Orengo is seeking to defend his seat on an ODM ticket.
