My Vitendawili Come Naturally - Raila Odinga Reveals

National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga is known for some hilarious riddles which he always uses during campaigns rallies.

Most of the times, the riddles commonly referred to as vitendawili are usually an analogy of the current situation being witnessed in the country and uses them to drive an agenda to his supporters.

Speaking during an interview on KTN's Friday Briefing, Odinga revealed how he composes the riddles which always spark excitement in his followers.

According to the ODM leader, the analogies he gives come naturally and he doesn't require prior planning on which one to narrate at a certain rally.

He explained that when growing up, he used to maintain a close relationship with the elderly who used to talk in riddles.

Odinga stated that on his part, he normally considers the subject he is talking about at that particular time and weighs on the best story he can use to drive his point home.

“This is one way of bringing a point home. You look at real life situations depending on the subject you are talking about at that moment in time and you liken it to a real situation,” he stated.

On the issue of how he spends his time outside politics, he highlighted that he enjoys time with his family especially playing with grandchildren.

He added that he loves reading biographies, history books and engineering publications to keep himself updated.

The Opposition leader further divulged that during the free time, he also writes, watches movies and sports as well as chatting and catching up his childhood friends.
