The Jubilee Party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta is headed for a big win in the counties if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) preliminary results are anything to go by.
The preliminary results indicate that Jubilee candidates are leading in 23 Counties while the Opposition's ODM Party has dominated in 13 counties.
The leading jubilee candidates in the various counties are as follows.

2. Bomet County - Joyce Laboso
3. Elgeyo Marakwet County - Alex Tolgos
4. Embu County - Martin Wambora
5. Garissa County - Ali Bunow Korane
6. Kajiado County - Joseph Ole Lenku
7. Kericho County - Paul Chepkwony
8. Kiambu County - Ferdinand Waititu
9. Kirinyaga County - Anne Waiguru
10. Kwale County - Salim Mvurya
11. Meru County - Kiraitu Murungi
12. Marsabit County - Mohamud Mohamed Ali
13. Muranga County - Mwangi Wa Iria
14. Nairobi County - Mike Sonko
15. Nakuru County - Lee Kinyanjui
16. Nandi County - Stephen Kipyego Sang
17. Narok County - Samuel Tunai
18. Nyandarua County - Francis Thuita
19. Nyeri County - Patrick Wahome

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party comes in second as 13 of their gubernatorial candidates leading, while other National Super Alliance (NASA) afffiliate parties are leading in only 3 counties.

Two candidates from Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula's party, FORD-K, are also leading in the governor seat race.

2. Trans Nzoia County - Simiyu Khaemba
Two candidates from Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party are also leading in the preliminary poll results.
1. Makueni County - Kivutha Kibwana
2. Taita Taveta County - Granton Samboja
NARC party's Charity Ngilu is leading in the race for Kitui Governor while her Maendeleo Chap Chap counterpart from Machakos county, Dr Alfred Mutua, is also in the lead.
Musalia Mudavadi's party, the Amani National Congress, has the lead in Lamu County where Issa Timamy is leading.
Mandera County's Hassan Noor is leading under his Economic Freedom Party (EFP) party umbrella while the Kenya African National Union (KANU) is likely to carry the day in West Pokot with their candidate Mr John Lonyang'apuo.
