Governor Hassan Joho Reveals How NASA Will Use MPs in The Elections

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has laid out new plans to use elected Members of Parliament as agents in the upcoming Presidential to ensure a first-round win for Raila Odinga.

Speaking at a NASA rally in Mathare, Joho announced that the coalition will put in place tough measures to ensure their votes were protected, especially in Jubilee strongholds.

He stated that they would rely on both elected and other party leaders to serve as agents in polling stations across the country.

Embakasi East Legislator Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino is set to be deployed as an agent in Kiambu County whereas Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati and Steve Mbogo, who came second in the Starehe MP race will also serve as agents.

The ODM Deputy party Leader highlighted to the massive crowd that he himself would be an agent in Nyeri.

At the rally, NASA leaders made it clear that they have no qualms with IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati staying in office, as long as he puts his house in order.

They called for action to be taken on IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, along with 5 other secretariat officials they allege were involved in illegal machinations that saw them lose the election.

Earlier on, NASA Chief Campaigner Musalia Mudavadi had revealed their strategy to consolidate votes in their strongholds and disprove the notion that Jubilee made inroads into areas formerly thought to be behind NASA.

The nullified results showed President Kenyatta got a sizeable chunk of votes cast in Bungoma, Kitui, Nyamira, Kisii and Kakamega.

"NASA will look to make sure they recapture maximum votes in these areas and deny Jubilee enough votes to have an impact on the final tally," he stated.

The elected leaders from NASA affiliate parties are expected to spearhead the vote-hunting mission, with nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi promising to put aside the sibling-rivalry that hurt them in campaigns.
