4 Kenyans Beheaded in Fresh Al-Shabaab Attack in Lamu

Four people have been mercilessly killed in a suspected Al-Shabaab attack in Hindi Village, Lamu County.

Confirming the attack, Lamu West County Commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo disclosed that the four were beheaded.

He noted that a probe was underway to determine whether the attack is linked to the militants.

Meanwhile, Lamu residents have taken to the streets to protest the slow response by law enforcement officers.

A protest is being staged on the Hindi - Lamu Road by angry residents who feel security officers are not doing enough to protect them.

At least three Al-Shabaab linked attacks occurred in Lamu last month.

On 18th August, three were killed at Maleli in Witu Area of Lamu West.

Barely two weeks later, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was responsible for the death of three more in the Nyongoro area.
