Kisumu National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters who participated in Tuesday's anti-IEBC protests have expressed their anger and disappointment at the police for failing to use tear gas on them.
According to the supporters, a good protest is one where they engage the cops in running battles before they are dispersed.
"The police must come and chase us for us to leave. So, we are saying protesting without tear gas doesn't add anything.
"They must disperse us (with tear gas) for us to leave," one of the protesters stated.
The residents further noted that the government uses their money to procure teargas canisters and as such they must be hurled at them anytime there is a demonstration.
"These protests were not successful. As far as we are concerned, demos must be concluded with teargas.
"They must throw them at us for us to leave. Even if our governor says we should leave, we are not leaving," the protester explained.
On Tuesday, the police did not lob any tear gas canisters at the demonstrators as they conducted anti-IEBC demos.
The anti-IEBC protests kicked off yesterday with Nairobi and Kisumu residents going to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the Commission.
In Nairobi, the situation was a little bit tense as Jubilee supporters clashed with their NASA rivals outside the IEBC office forcing the police to use tear gas to disperse them.
