NASA Supporters Caught Stealing and Destroying Property [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

A section of National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters staging anti-IEBC protests on Wednesday were caught on camera allegedly stealing and destroying several properties in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).

The supporters allied to the Opposition staged demonstrations despite their presidential candidate Raila Odinga's announcement that he will not participate in October 26 election.

In a video making rounds, some protesters are seen snatching sodas from an unknown businessman as well as destroying vehicles that were packed within the city centre.

In response to theft claims, the police have asked anyone who has been robbed or suffered loses during the protests to report the case to the nearest police station.

On his part, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko condemned the incident urging the authorities to take action against the perpetrators.

"As the Governor of Nairobi I condemn in the strongest terms possible the hooliganism witnessed today in the name of peaceful demonstrations. There is no law in Kenya that protects those determined to destroy other people's property and infringe on their right to earn a living.

"I urge all security agencies to move with speed, arrest and prosecute those behind this senseless barbarism," he lamented.

While addressing the supporters at Uhuru Park, Siaya Senator James Orengo declared that the Opposition will stage anti-IEBC demonstrations daily starting next week until reforms are made in the electoral commission.

Here are photos of the destruction.

Regarding an incident where several protesters were run over by a car, three men have been arrested and charged with violent robbery including one individual who has been admitted to the hospital.

NASA politicians including Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Homabay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga and her counterpart Esther Passaris were also present during the demonstrations.
