Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko has set up a special team that will be tasked with handling electoral offenses and malpractices during the fresh presidential election.
The Elections Rapid Response Secretariat will also ensure that any person involved in election irregularities is arrested immediately and brought before the courts within 24 hours.
During the August Elections, there were several complaints of malpractices, some of which were proven at the Supreme Court, leading to the nullification of the presidential results.

Leaders of the opposition have maintained that no election will take place in their constituencies and have asked their supporters not to show up at polling stations.
Jubilee Party leaders, on the other hand, have urged their supporters to turn out in large numbers to exercise their constitutional right and elect the President of their choice.
On Tuesday, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga called off demonstrations that were scheduled for election day, instead, asking NASA supporters to remain at home and boycott voting.
Prior to this, Opposition leaders had stated that they would hold countrywide demos to protest against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) but they seem to have softened their stand.
Elsewhere, Odinga received a major boost after the High Court dismissed a petition seeking to compel him to participate in the repeat election.
High Court Judge Chacha Mwita dismissed a petition filed by Pokot South MP David Pkosing, seeking to have Mr Odinga and his running mate in the ballot on grounds that it did not meet the constitutional threshold.
"I'm not satisfied that the case submitted before me meets the threshold for a constitutional petition.
"The issues raised therein, though coached as constitutional questions, fall out of the mandate of this court," Justice Mwita ruled.
The court made the ruling following a petition by Mr Pkosing seeking to compel Mr Odinga to take part in the repeat presidential election.
In the petition, Mr Pkosing argued that the former Prime Minister ought to comply with the Supreme Court decision that ordered for a fresh presidential election and that his threats to boycott the election be declared illegal.
