Mr Malonza added that during the incident, the MP took off his coat which led to him losing money.

"She took my coat which had money in it which I don't know where it is until today. It had Sh14,000. I don't know where she took it," he stated.

He added that Ms Wahome threatened the police officers who were in the tallying centre to prevent him from leaving.

"She shouted at the OCPD  and told them if I leave the tallying centre they will lose their jobs," Mr Malonza explained.

On Saturday, Ms Wahome, in an exclusive interview with Kenyans.co.ke, refuted allegations by the RO who claimed the legislator harassed him while he was on duty. A video circulating online showe Mrs Wahome confronting the IEBC official.

She maintained that she did not harass the Returning Officer adding that she was composed and only wanted to check on the results that Mr Malonzo had indicated.

“I did not harass him, that is not harassment. I was merely checking on the results to verify what had been recorded for the Jubilee candidate. I asked him calmly then he started shouting at me, who does that?” Ms Wahome questioned.

“He was very rude and did not want to be asked any questions. What I did is not outside the law and it is prejudicial of IEBC to issue a statement which I have not seen by the way asking for my arrest. The returning officer was supposed to sit and explain in a calm manner not causing drama that way,” she added.
