EXCLUSIVE: NASA Unveils New Brand [PHOTOS]

The National Super Alliance (NASA) on Thursday launched the brand of their new wing, the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga revealed that the Opposition coalition decided to launch the brand following the announcement by their party leader Raila Odinga.

"We have officially unveiled the merchandise for our new wing - NRM and the items will further our pursuit to see justice in Kenya.

"As you can see from the cap, our tagline is 'resist' and that is what we will do. We are resisting an illegitimate government, killings of our supporters, police brutality, profiling of communities in Kenya, electoral injustices and intimidation of judges," the legislator declared.

Ms Wanga went ahead to warn the Jubilee regime that the Opposition was undeterred in its onslaught as stated.

"I cannot disclose all the details at this point but what I can say is that Jubilee is not prepared for the huge blow we are about to strike them with," she warned.

Shortly after, NASA CEO Norman Magaya released a statement with a call to action from all Governors elected under the NASA umbrella.

Commenting on a recent petition filed with the Registrar of Political Parties seeking to create NRM as a political party, Ms Wanga strongly refuted that the petition originated from the coalition.

"That is a scheme by Jubilee party masqueraders," she stated.

Kenyans.co.ke has since established that the application to register NRM as a political party is, in fact, an independent matter by a Nairobi lawyer, Kelvin Njihia.

Mr Njihia clarified that he is neither a member nor supporter of Jubilee nor NASA and he is seeking to register his own political entity dubbed the National Resistance Movement of Kenya.

The lawyer, who was unsuccessful in vying for the Starehe constituency seat, accused the Opposition of stealing his idea to form NRM.

"The thing with these Opposition people is that they like to steal ideas. When they see something good they want to take it and make it their own.

"I have previously attempted to register NRM-Kenya and it is my own idea. No confusion should arise between the two," Mr Njihia defended.
