Khalwale Reveals Where NASA Will Swear-in Raila

Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale has warned the Jubilee Party that they should not attempt to swear-in President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at Kibra during a National Resistance Movement (NRM) rally on Sunday, Mr Khalwale stated that if the government chooses to proceed with the exercise at Kasarani Stadium, the National Super Alliance (NASA) will hold a parallel event at Nyayo Stadium to swear-in opposition leader Raila Odinga.

"If Jubilee decides to swear-in Uhuru at Kasarani Stadium, we (NASA) will be at Nyayo Stadium to swear-in Raila," he remarked.

Khalwale reiterated that Odinga won the August 8 nullified polls and the truth was in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers.

"Kenyans know Raila won the August polls. If you (Jubilee) are not convinced that he was the winner go and open the servers," stated Khalwale.

The former Senator further remarked that since only Kenyatta's supporters voted on October 26 translating to around 7 million votes, NASA supporters should also be given a day to vote then the IEBC can compare numbers.

Last week, Dr Khalwale proposed that Chief Justice David Maraga should be the caretaker President for 90 days before the country holds a fresh election.

This comes even as some leaders allied to the Jubilee Party have hinted that NASA is on the verge of collapsing.

On Saturday, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria stated that the opposition would break into 5 different groups.

Kuria stated that the first group would be led by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, the second one would be headed by Siaya Senator James Orengo while the third would be marshaled by Coast kingpins; Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.

He further added that the remaining two factions would be headed by Odinga and NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka respectively.
