Kenyan Hotel Ranked Best in Africa

Kenya's Lord Erroll Gourmet Restaurant has been ranked as Africa's Best Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year by the Luxury Travel Guide.

The restaurant which is located in the leafy suburbs of Runda in Nairobi prides itself on serving the finest French cuisine and has gained popularity worldwide.

The Luxury Travel Guide highlights the best accommodation providers throughout the region and awards them yearly.

Winners are often chosen for their unique interior design, innovation, rooms and facilities, location, employee satisfaction and most importantly their service excellence.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the hotel's manager Mr Josiah Nyakundi expressed his delight at the award saying it took a lot of hard work.

"We emphasise on excellent service standards, presentation and customer service.

"Our category had 13 restaurants from all over Africa including several top restaurants from Morocco, Egypt and South Africa and we emerged first overall.

"We are delighted with this achievement," stated Nyakundi.

This remarkable achievement is set to put more Kenyan restaurants on the world map as they seek to be the best in business.

It is also music to the ears of Tourism CS Najib Balala who recently stated that there was a dip in the number of tourists coming into the country and complained that the hospitality industry would suffer most.
