DP  Ruto's New Orders to Boinett After Recent Killings

The Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday issued a new order to the Police led by Inspector General Joseph Boinnet following the killing of four people in Mathare area under unclear circumstances.

Speaking at the St Mark's ACK, Muikui Parish in Kabete constituency, he told the Police to move with speed and bring perpetrators of the killings and destruction of property to book.

He also asked the Police to protect the lives and property of all Kenyans regardless of their political and ethnic affiliation.

“The Government will be firm and resolute to ensure lives and property of its citizens are safe, nobody is above the law and action will be taken against those inciting Kenyans to violence irrespective of social status, political party or ethnic background," he indicated.

The Deputy President also urged the different communities to live together in peace irrespective of their political affiliations.

Mr Ruto further affirmed that the government would not spare politicians who are involved in any kind of incitement and violence.

"All Kenyans must respect the rule of law and abide by the Constitution. Violence, anarchy or chaos will not earn any leader any position in this country," Mr Ruto noted.

He also called on every Kenyan to reject all those spreading hatred, incitement, ethnicity, confusion, and division among them.

“Kenyans should say no to hatred and resist violence, anarchy and reject those who want us to fight so that they can achieve their selfish interest,” the Deputy President stated.

He was accompanied by Governor Ferdinand Waititu(Kiambu), MPs Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), John Kiarie (Dagoretti South), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Jude Jomo (Kiambu Town) and Jonah Mburu (Lari).
