"Public schools that have produced top 100 candidates will receive special financial allocation to support their infrastructure.

"Special needs schools have produced 6 of the top 100 candidates," revealed the CS.

He also noted that no malpractices were recorded thus everyone who sat for the exam would access their results.

The Education boss further stressed that by Jamhuri day (December 12), every student will be placed in a secondary as the selection is set to kick off next week.

The three-day examination ended on November 2 with the candidates sitting for their Social Studies and religious studies papers.

A total of 993,718 candidates sat for the examination.

Earlier today the CS handed over the results to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Head of State confirmed receiving them.

The Kenya National Examinations Council had issued tough guidelines on managing the examination as it moved towards eliminating malpractices.

The political climate in the country had threatened to interfere with the exam dates but after the October 26 election, the exam kicked off well with little hinderances.
