Mr Gatobu had been put in charge of these projects on behalf of the Rotary Club.

He is alleged to have falsified bank statements and receipts in a bid to cover his tracks.

Appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Monica Maroro, Mr Gatobu denied the charges brought against him.

The matter will be mentioned on December 7, with a hearing scheduled for January 16, 2018.
