Man Shot Thrice in Upper Hill Robbery

A man was on Wednesday shot three times during a robbery in Nairobi's Upper Hill area.

The incident took place outside the Public Service and according to police, the middle-aged man had just withdrawn money from an M-Pesa shop near Kenyatta Hospital.

It is alleged that he was going to a nearby bank when three men trailed him on a motorcycle.

The gangsters are reported to have shot the victim three times before robbing him of an unknown amount of money.

According to Nairobi Regional Coordinator Bernard Leparmarai, the 9.30am incident left the victim with bullet wounds on the head and the stomach.

He was rushed to Kenyatta hospital for treatment and investigations into the incident are underway.

Elsewhere, two suspected thugs were on Tuesday night shot dead in two separate incidents in Nairobi.

According to Police, the first shooting happened in Kamukunji area where one suspect was shot and killed as he tried to mug pedestrians but two of his accomplices managed to escape.

Another suspect was shot dead in Eastleigh and a pistol found on him.

Police revealed the suspect was in the company of three others and had been attacking and robbing local pedestrians when an alarm was raised.
