He took to his social media pages to attribute the success to God and his daughter's hard work.
"SANKOK ROSEMARY NASERIAN INDEX: 28500005039 MEAN GRADE A- AGP 75 ENG B KIS B MAT A BIO B- PHY B+ CHE A GEO A- FRE A.
"Help me congratulate my daughter Rosemary Naserian Sankok for her exemplary performance in 2017 KCSE exams where she scored an A-(minus) at Kipsigis Girls High School.
"All glory to God because it was not by our might nor by her IQ but by the hand of our merciful God," he wrote.
The 2017 KCSE results were received differently across the country as some leaders complained that many students had failed and would miss places in public universities.
According to the Standard, twenty-eight counties did not have any candidate with an A grade with only 21 schools nationwide producing the 142 As secured in the examinations.
The 19 counties that managed to have students get straight As include; Kiambu, Siaya, Nakuru, Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Migori, Bungoma, Nyeri, Kisii, Mombasa, Kericho, Nandi, Vihiga, Murang’a, Kakamega, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Nyamira.
Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General, Wilson Sossion, also complained of the poor performance stating they were many irregularities in the marking of the exam papers.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mr Sossion stated that the results needed to be audited as the marking process fell below the international standards of measurement and evaluation.
"KNEC must cancel the KCSE results because they were not taken through the normative regulation system.
"The CS (Education CS Fred Matiang'i) should not have released the results because you cannot awards marks on the raw marks," he stated.
