24-year old Elvis Keter on Friday evening drowned in River Molo as he took selfies and photos alongside three of his friends.
He was with his childhood friend Alvin Ng'eno and two ladies right before he died.
The four had gone to River Molo to view the waterfall in the area.
“I received a call from Keter’s friend who requested to meet him, later, we decided to take a walk to the falls at the river,” Ng'eno explained.
The late Keter took selfies and later gave his phone to one of the ladies, asking her to take more photos of him.

In an unfortunate turn of events, he slipped and fell into the river at around 5.30 pm.
He tried to swim to the banks to save his life but was unable to do so due to the fast flowing waters.
Area residents responded to distress calls from his friends but failed to make it in time.
His mother Esther Wanjiru was overwhelmed with grief as she explained how she found out about her son's demise.
“I left my son taking breakfast with his siblings and went to open my business. Later at around 6 pm, I received shocking news that my son had drowned,” she stated.
The deceased graduated from Kabarak University on December 16th with Bachelors in Computer Science.
