Kalonzo's New Statement on Why he Was not Sworn-in

NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday gave a fresh statement on why he was not sworn-in with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Musyoka stated that it was a tactic that they had discussed at Machakos and even if he would have attended the swearing-in, he would not take the oath.

He further stated that they still had adequate plans to go ahead with his swearing-in as the Deputy President of the people's republic.

Musyoka assured the nation that he was firmly in NASA and had no plans to retire 'just as he was about to arrive.'

He also hinted that their lives were in danger and intelligence had advised them accordingly.

Earlier on Thursday, National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-proclaimed general, Miguna Miguna, had aimed a dig at the NASA co-principals who missed the ceremony, calling them cowards.

"His excellency Raila Odinga took the oath alone because he is the President. Anybody else, any other pretender, any other coward, any other deceptive hypocrite must be treated with the contempt they deserve.

"Any stories that these jokers are circulating now should be treated with the contempt worse than a spittle in a dumpsite.

"We are moving on, undeterred, fearless and completely unrestrained," stated Miguna.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula also maintained that NASA was still intact and any rumour about their split was far-fetched.

"We in NASA are intact. We know where we are going and our supporters know our destination

"We, the NASA principals, do not have a spokesperson. We speak for ourselves," he stated, in what appears like a response to Miguna.
