Why This MP Wants Refund From Miguna

Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wah on Thursday stated that Self-proclaimed General of the outlawed National Resistance Movement (NRM), Miguna Miguna should refund Kenyan taxpayers for the money of the flight used to deport him.

Through his social media, the Jubilee MP inferred from the banners by supporters who welcomed the NRM leader in Canada which read 'Welcome Home Miguna' adding that Dr Miguna could afford to buy an economy class ticket on his own.

"So he was indeed actually sent home? It’s Okay. But he should refund our taxes he could afford an economy class ticket! He’s a whole general to a militia that sabotages our economy!" Mr Ichung'wah stated.

Miguna was on early Thursday morning received as a hero at the Toronto International Airport in Canada by a few enthusiasts who carried placards with messages that seemed to endorse his stand on the events that led to his deportation.

The self-proclaimed General was also handed a bouquet of flowers as his supporters shouted questions and encouraged him.

"I am tired. Today (Thursday), I want to go and take a shower, I haven't showered for the last six days, maybe seven.

"So I need to take a good shower, hug my wife, hug my children, then eat properly, I have not eaten for the last one week and then I can talk about anything else," Miguna responded.

When asked for a comment on what he would like to say to Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto, the Opposition politician responded with a dare.

"Come baby come!"  he stated while chuckling.

The NRM leader was deported on Tuesday night following a ruling by Justice Luka Kimaru who ordered his immediate release.
