Opposition leader Raila Odinga who was recently 'sworn-in' as the 'People's President' in controversial circumstances has announced that he will start discharging his duties soon.
Speaking in Vihiga during the burial of Justus Etale, the father of ODM Communications Director Philip Etale, Odinga stated that things needed to change as the Jubilee government was blatantly violating the Constitution.
"We are going to hold the People's Convention soon. I will discharge my duties as the People's President without fear...
"The state has become rogue. They are blatantly violating court orders and using the police to intimidate people," he remarked.

The NASA leader was referring to recent actions by Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet who disobeyed a court order to produce Nairobi lawyer Miguna Miguna in court last week.
Miguna was later deported to Canada on grounds of renouncing Kenyan citizenship, claims he has rubbished saying it was an excuse by the government to get rid of him.
The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general on Saturday sent a message to NASA supporters through a video from Toronto.
Addressing people who were ' demonstrating in the cold in New York and many other capitals of the world,' Miguna commanded them not to surrender as NRM had no reverse gear.
"Viva, continue the struggle the struggle against the despots. Against the illegitimate usurpers of power. We must win.
"There is no going back. Surrender is not an option and we don't have a reverse gear. Viva!" declared Miguna.
