Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Wednesday disclosed that the letter allegedly addressed to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka asking him to declare the party's loyalty was fake.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mombasa County Communications Director Richard Chacha divulged that the letter was not genuine stating that communication in the National Super Alliance (NASA) was structured differently.
"In the NASA leadership, we do not address letters to other party leaders. If a member of ODM has an issue we have our party leader (Raila Odinga) whom we address the issue through.
"Dismiss the fake letter as nonsense which is trying to create rifts in the coalition," he told Kenyans.co.ke on the phone.

In the alleged letter, Joho who is the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Deputy party leader purportedly questioned the Wiper leader on his stand regarding Raila's leadership after the party Deputy Leader Farah Maalim gave an interview urging for the retirement of Raila Odinga.
"ODM Notes with regret remarks made by the WPM Deputy leader Hon Farah Maalim at a popular morning TV show aired on the 26th of this month," the letter read in part.
The letter as seen by Kenyans.co.ke, further claimed that Maalim who recently lost his election petition had described NASA as dead as a dodo.
"In as much as I would like to remind you that NASA has other partners besides Wiper, the ODM leadership feels that we should first seek clarification from you as the WDM leader on whether Hon. Farah's remarks reflect the stand of your party. Kindly respond urgently so that we know how to engage WDM going forth," the letter further stated.
The disquiet in the Coalition has been evident after Odinga on Saturday stated that ODM would go it alone if pushed to.
