Raila's Spokesman Dennis Onyango Exposes Major Flaw at Nation Media Group

NASA leader Raila Odinga's spokesman Dennis Onyango on Tuesday aimed a jab at the Nation Media Group accusing it of misreporting on the Coalition's affairs.

Mr Onyango pointed out this as a major flaw within the media house following an article that claimed the opposition was seeking to revisit the Bomas draft to make changes to the current constitution.

According to the article, the four NASA co-principals had convened a meeting on Monday to renew debate on changing the Constitution.

Mr Onyango strongly refuted those claims maintaining there was no such meeting.

"Here is Daily Nation today reporting on a Monday meeting of NASA principals (there was no such meeting) then quotes a statement issued last Friday to back claims that a meeting took place on Monday.

"Something is going very wrong at NMG," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Last Friday, NASA issued a statement indicating that the Bomas Draft had 'cures' to the problems the country was currently facing.

“The Bomas Draft contains cures to the problems of inclusion, strengthening of devolution, the shape of the Executive, and security sector reforms,” read the statement in part.

These comments were echoed by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua who reiterated that the country was 'crying out for a non-contested referendum.'

There have been several changes at NMG in recent days, including the exit of General Manager Linus Kaikai following an alleged split opinion on coverage of Odinga's swearing-in.

This came just a week after popular news anchor Larry Madowo terminated his contract with the Daily Nation.

Larry, who used to write the #FrontRow column on the daily, announced via his official Twitter page that he ended the contract.
