State House Girls' Principal, Ms Joan Muoti, on Wednesday defended the Sh100,000 per student Dubai Trip.
Speaking to a local daily, Ms Muoti maintained that it was important to take its students for the trip.
"Our main aim is to raise students who have vast knowledge not only on education but also in games, technology, and tourism," she explained.

According to the Principal, the Sh100,000 is not as much as Kenyans on social media are claiming it to be as it is meant to cater for a lot of needs.
The letter addressed to parents that circulated on social media highlighted: "We would also like to request you to support your daughter towards this trip. The total cost of the trip is 100,000. This will cater for return air ticket, airport transfers, 5 nights hotel accommodation Regal Plaza Hotel, Dubai Visa and Travel Insurance. "
"We have been traveling to various countries each year. This year we got an offer to travel to Dubai and we couldn't turn it down. We will be there for five days, "she highlighted.
Ms Muoti was quick to dispell claims that State House Girls is a school for the "elite students."
"This is a school for the common mwananchi's child. We have students from all over the country including Turkana, Samburu, Isiolo and even Wajir," she commented.
She added: "That is why we are seeking for sponsors who are willing to support the girls who may not be in a position to raise that amount."
Ms Muoti explained that since 2009, the school has taken its students to many countries including Canada, Germany, Zanzibar, South Africa and Uganda.
The trip is planned to take place from August 13 to 18.
