National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale on Wednesday revealed the crucial role opposition chief Raila Odinga played in his life.
During a session in parliament, Duale stated that Odinga introduced him to politics and is a man who is loved and hated in equal measure.
"I am a happy man because I was inducted into politics by none other than Raila Amollo Odinga.
"Of course there are people who are scared of Raila Odinga. He is loved and hated in equal measure in our country.

"He went to KANU and left with the cream of KANU. He said Kibaki tosha and later left in 2009 forcing a coalition government. When Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya remember his history they cannot sleep at night," he remarked.
The lawmaker also threw a jab at NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka who has now asked to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta, suggesting the country had already moved on.
While speaking in Machakos after a closed-door meeting with Kamba elders, Kalonzo stated that he, alongside Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya), had planned to meet Uhuru on Thursday but unfortunately he travelled.
"We are in support of any meeting or negotiations aimed at developing the country and bringing together all tribes.
"This is why we maintain we must have an opportunity to meet with my brother Uhuru when he comes back," Kalonzo stated.
Duale further stated that the ruling party was willing to join forces with any group that will want to merge with them for the 2022 elections.
He, however, reiterated that William Ruto would remain their preferred candidate in 2022.
"Our succession agenda is very clear. Our striker is William Samoei Ruto, and we will ensure that he does not get injured until he scores the goal," he remarked.
