Moses Kuria Reveals Dream of Vying for Presidency

Outspoken Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has revealed his future dream of taking a stab at the Presidency.

Speaking at St Barnabas Anglican Church of Kenya Church Voi, Kuria used the Sunday homily to disclose his dream of ascending to the country's helm.

"Tunaona ndiyo hiyo motorcade, tunaanza kuota ndiyo mimi huyo nikikagua gwaride la wanajeshi (We envision the presidential motorcade, then I dream of inspecting a guard of honour mounted by the defence forces.)"

"Alafu nikaona watoto wakiniimbia tawala Kenya tawala (Then I envisioned children entertaining me as the Head of State)," the Gatundu South legislator went on as the congregation burst out in laughter.

Kuria indicated that given that President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga will be exiting the political arena in 2022, a new generation of leaders will ultimately take over.

He further urged the residents and Kenyans across the country to uphold brotherhood and peaceful coexistence.

"Tumeona na imejidhahirisha kwamba shida ya Wakenya sio wananchi, shida ya Wakenya ni sisi viongozi (It is evident and has become clear that the Kenyan problems do not originate with the citizens but their leaders)," he went on alluding to the historical reconciliation between Uhuru and Raila.

"Kama salamu ya dakika mbili inaeza kufanya mimi na Aisha Jumwa tukakuja pamoja na tunaongea lugha moja nikuonyesha kama viongozi tukitaka kumaliza shida tutamaliza (If a brief handshake can make arch rivals like Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and I reconcile then Kenyan leaders can solve the problems if we have the goodwill)," Kuria concluded.

He reminded the congregation that the challenges facing the citizens were uniform regardless of the region or political affiliation.
