Raila Odinga Meets US Ambassador Robert Godec

United States Ambassador Robert Godec paid National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga a courtesy call at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi.

Raila revealed that their meeting was centered on the national reconciliation initiative and the need to have justice in the country in order to attain the desired progress.

"The US has pledged to support us as a people as we proceed with the task of righting the wrongs that have ailed our nation for too long," he stated.

The meeting elicited many questions from netizens given that the meeting came shortly after the “building bridges to a new Kenya nation” deal between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

A section of social media users found fault in the meeting indicating it was a step further in the wrong direction.

A number of users expressed regret following the recent actions of the NASA leader terming it a betrayal and a departure from his earlier promise to Canaan.

Besides, others opined that they had lost hope in the current generation of leaders: "We will take back our country without you all! You are now part of what is wrong in our country," one user lamented.
