Cyrus Jirongo Reveals How Raila Helped Him Get a Job from John Magufuli

Former Presidential candidate Cyrus Jirongo has revealed how National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga helped him get a job in Tanzania.

Speaking during a burial of Julia Amayo, widow of former Karachuonyo MP Okiki Amayo, Jirongo divulged that he and Raila flew to Tanzania where the NASA leader introduced him to the country's President John Magufuli.

"Raila is the one who introduced me to Tanzanian President and the country's Prime Minister who later gave me a job," stated Jirongo.

The former legislator further claimed that senior Jubilee officials abandoned him as they 'dished out state jobs.'

However, he thanked the Opposition leader for rescuing him from poverty and joblessness after allegedly being neglected by the Jubilee Government.

"The top Jubilee leadership had abandoned me hence I had to share my problems with Raila who helped me get a job in Tanzania.

"I now leave comfortably and shall continue being close to the Luo community," noted Jirongo.

The former Cabinet Minister and a one-time powerful chairman of the now-defunct Youth for KANU 92, however, did not disclose the nature of the job he declared to have been given by President Magufuli.

Additionally, he praised Raila for signing the recent unity pact with President Kenyatta and called on all politicians to respect and support it.

"Kenyans owe Raila respect because he showed true statesmanship by prioritizing the interest of this country to hold the dialogue with President Kenyatta," he conveyed.
