A Sports journalist with the Nation Media Group has passed away.
Paul Mdegu succumbed on Monday morning at Kenyatta National Hospital following heart complications.
A friend of the deceased broke the news on social media with a heartfelt message.

"It feels so sad coz you didn't tell me goodbye when I left you in the hospital. May you rest with the angels brother. Rest in peace," DJ Slahver wrote.
When contacted by Kenyans.co.ke, he disclosed that Mdegu was admitted to Nairobi Hospital on Wednesday because of heart problems.
He was discharged and was to report to work at NTV on Thursday but then he collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital.
A fellow journalist confided that through a recommendation by his personal doctor, the former Sports correspondent was referred to Kenyata National hospital for specialized treatment.
"We got the news that he passed away on Monday morning at KNH," he told Kenyans.co.ke on the phone.
A representative from the media house confirmed that Mdegu was working in NTV sports department adding that they had also learnt of his passing on Monday.
