NASA Supporters Reject Raila Odinga After Convening People's Parliament Meeting

NASA leader Raila Odinga on Friday faced rejection by a section of his followers hours after convening a People's Parliament meeting.

Raila took to Twitter on Friday evening announcing that he had met members of the People's Parliament who are said to be drawn from all counties.

"We exchanged views on the current events in our nation and they have pledged their full support for the next steps ahead as a nation," his tweet read.

His supporters, however, faulted his move with some revisiting his earlier promise on taking them to Canaan.

We gave the mantle of bringing good leadership in this nation not being a dealership of the state. They have made you look bad to this nation they want to drag all their evil deeds in the name of Handshake. Let Justice be served to all. Dont forget the spirit of our fallen heroes

The controversial deportation of lawyer and self-declared NRM General Miguna Miguna remains an emotive issue among Raila's follower with some calling for his intervention.

Fair enough and what are you doing about the plight of @MigunaMiguna who swore you in? Doesn't his deportation bother you?

The jubilee government was broke. They were defaulting in their loot payments. Nothing was working. It was going under. Until your handcheque bailed them out. Lest you forget, they are now sitting pretty on @MigunaMiguna 's deportation and on your supporters dead bodies.

Another section of his loyal supporters urged him to denounce the famous handshake with President Uhuru at Harambee House.

In a joint statement dubbed Building bridges to a new Kenyan nation, Raila and Uhuru had promised to bury their political differences for the  sake of the country.

However, the surprise move did not go down well with some of Raila's supporters who viewed the move as a betrayal and deviation from the earlier calls for justice and equality.

as one of your supporters from 1991 to date -I was disillusioned to see you having a handshake with an unapologetic despot, the cream for tyranny.
