Miguna Miguna Takes Jabs at Raila's Former Adviser Sarah Elderkin

National Resistance Movement (NRM-K) leader Miguna Miguna on Wednesday condemned NASA leader Raila Odinga's former adviser Sarah Elderkin following an article she published on a local daily expressing her support on the government's decision to deport him.

Speaking during an interview with TRT World media based in Istanbul, Turkey, Miguna noted that Ms Elderkin is an opportunist who is only stating things that are meant to 'feather her nests.'

"I have no response to retired, senile, British, ex-colonial, opportunist in Africa," Miguna exclaimed.

He added that Ms Elderkin's utterances were baseless as she has in the past praised him for his demeanour and he has recorded it in his book.

"Sarah has praised me before. She put it in a letter addressed to Raila Odinga that I am brilliant, strategic, that I am a tactical genius. That's what she called me. So you just have to compare what she said before and what she recently wrote," asserted the outspoken Canadian barrister.

Addressing the statements by his former NASA colleagues who threatened to 'take him down', Miguna criticised them claiming that they couldn't stop him.

"They can't take down a movement supported by the people. And you can't take down the leader of the movement that is generating more excitement than all of them combined, ' he affirmed.

Miguna also stated that he will be back to the country in May following a High Court ruling that set a deadline for his return.

According to a ruling delivered on April 6 by Justice Chacha Mwita, the lawyer must be present in court on May 18 to testify in the ongoing case regarding his citizenship and controversial deportation.
