Kenyans Troll Uhuru Over Tweet on Corruption

President Uhuru Kenyatta had on Tuesday warned governors and other government officials against corruption through a video link address to the devolution conference.

Part of the same message was later on relayed through the official Twitter handle of the office of the President of the Republic of Kenya.

"Corruption has no tribe. You stole and you stole alone, you carry the cross alone," Uhuru's message to the Devolution Conference 2018.

Kenyans, however, were unhappy with the message taking to Twitter to troll President Uhuru over the tweet on corruption.

You are right..It has two tribes..like every other institution in Kenya

It only has a class...for which we carry the cross.

Others advised the Head of State to take serious actions against corrupt State officials given that previous threats had not served as a deterrent against the vice.

You've talked tough for five years now. We are yet to see the results. We need to see prosecutions not just when it's politically convenient. How do we explain that Gladys Shollei's charges e.g were withdrawn after joining Jubilee?

Kelele za debe tupu. We want action period

You have to agree that the “tone at the top” has not inspired any confidence in the so called fight against corruption
