Prominent lawyer Paul Muite's tweet about retired President Daniel Moi has excited Kenyans across social media.
Muite referred to an incident in March 1968 when former Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was blocked from leaving the country and his travel documents confiscated by immigration officials after falling out with founding President Jomo Kenyatta.
According to Muite, when questions were raised in parliament on why Jaramogi was blocked from travelling, Moi who was then Vice President indicated that "it is planting season, the rains have started" hence the need to have Jaramogi meaningfully engaged in the country, rather than travelling abroad.

The lame explanation by the Government of Kenya on Jaramogi's incident left many Kenyans bemused and attracted a variety of reactions.
Hilarious...let us plant more trees to forget our problems...

After that account of inhumane treatment of late Matiba, the mere mention of the name arap Moi whatever form causes me to recoil in disgust.Wonder if he has written a memoir narrating the terror he unleashed to the people of this country during his regime....

Others likened the 1968 incident to the controversial deportation of Lawyer Miguna Miguna by the government.
When Miguna arrives this Wednesday he should not be allowed to leave. The rains are here and its also tilling season.

He should not be allowed entry, for his safety he will be washed away by floods.

Another category reminded Muite of an incident at the Supreme Court of Kenya where he equally gave a baffling explanation on the request to access IEBC servers.
Muite had told CJ David Maraga that given that his client's servers were in Europe, it would not be possible to access the requested information as the agents there were asleep at that hour.
Paul Muite in Supreme Court In 2017 We cannot Open The servers Because they are asleep in France.

Sc @Paul_Muite , you know you are a very funny character, you must have borrowed moi's hilarious statement during scork
— Joseph Omayo (@JosephOmayo1) May 14, 2018
I remember, during the scork proceedings, the senior counsel alleged that the SERVERS in Europe, will not be opened since it was night there.

In 2062 Babu Owino will be tweeting or watever technology will be relevant then, in 2017 SC Paul Muite told @dkmaraga led SCOK Team that that Servers in Europe also sleep at night, when he was cornered he flew the technical team to US and tucked them to bed to sleep.
