The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is mourning the death of Siaya County Assembly Majority Whip Joanes Andiego.
The deceased was also Sakwa ward MCA and has been described as a dedicated leader who served with diligence.
Through a statement, the party sent condolences to his family stating that he will be greatly missed.
"We mourn the death of Siaya County Assembly Majority Whip Hon. Joanes Andiego this morning at Nairobi Hospital.

"We shall miss this dedicated servant of the people and a staunch supporter of the ODM Party. He represented Central Sakwa Ward in the Assembly," read a statement by ODM.
The party's communication director Philip Etale revealed Andiego was undergoing treatment for liver and kidney complications.
Around the same time last year, ODM lost another MCA due to health complications.
Shimo La Tewa MCA Bakari Ali Munyi passed on in a Nairobi bound bus on Monday, May 1, 2017.
The 54-year-old died mysteriously inside a bus while travelling from Mombasa to Nairobi.
According to reports, the MCA had a history of heart-related issues and was found with three painkillers in his pocket upon his death.
