Nairobi Gang Forcing Victims to Strip Exposed

Four men behind a nude extortion ring in Nairobi were arrested earlier this week in Kabete.

The suspects are said to either abduct or lure victims to a house where their colleagues pop up and force one to strip down.

They then take nude photos which they threaten to share online unless money is sent to their accounts.

One victim who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke on grounds of anonymity revealed that he was waiting for a bus at Donholm area when two men approached him asking for directions.

"I remember giving directions to two men but an hour later I found myself naked in a room with four people.

"They took off my clothes and took photos using my phone. They proceeded to load the pictures on my social media account and threatened to share them unless I sent them money," he narrated.

The victim was forced to call a few friends and members of his family telling them he needed money urgently.

"As soon as the money was sent, they went to withdraw since they also had my ID. I gave them around Ksh 60,000.

"What saved me was my asthmatic condition. I could barely breathe and I felt drowsy. The suspects were afraid I would pass out so they quickly dressed me up and a few hours later I found myself at a bus stop.

"I have no idea how I got there," he revealed.

Police have urged members of the public who have gone through a similar experience to report to the Director of Criminal Investigations office.
