Standard Group PLC has confirmed the appointment of Orlando Lyomu as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mr Lyomu replaces former CEO Sam Shollei who resigned in September last year as the Group's Chief Executive Officer.
The announcement was made on Friday morning during the shareholders Annual General Meeting at the Standard Group headquarters along Mombasa Road.

Mr Lyomu has since been serving in an acting capacity since September 1, 2017.
Until his appointment as CEO, Lyomu served as the Group Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer.
He also has over 15 years of Senior Management and Board level experience covering strategy formulation and execution, financial and risk management and operations.
Additionally, he has previously worked in the petroleum industry overseeing operations across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.
Lyomu holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from the University of Nairobi.
He is also a Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) and a member of ICPAK.
The Standard Group PLC is a multi-media organization with investments in media platforms including newspaper print operations, television, radio broadcasting, digital and online services.
