Jeff Koinange on the Spot Over Major Scandals

Popular TV host journalist, broadcaster and news anchor Jeff Koinange has come under attack after a section of netizens accused him of interviewing culprits in mega corruption scandals.

According to a section of Kenyans, Jeff has been hosting individuals implicated in the various scandals in a bid to sanitize them.

A graphic doing rounds on social media shows a cleaning detergent that is branded "JKL shower gel."

The imaginary product's tagline is labelled "When corruption persists, just JKL it" which is a reference to his popular JKLive show.

Among notable figures who have been linked to corruption scandals and hosted by Jeff include Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary and current Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru who was hosted in July 2017.

During the show, Waiguru conclusively dispelled claims of having played any role in the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.

Another guest was Ben Gethi who was hosted in December 2015 and indicated that he had earned his money by supplying the National Youth Service (NYS) with fuel and food and was not part of the first NYS scandal.

Most recently, Jeff hosted Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Chairman John Ngumi who is wanted in Tanzania over a Ksh600 million bribery scandal relating to a government bond floated in 2012.

One netizen by the name Muthui Mkenya opined, "I will not be surprised if Koinange Jeff hosts the Ruaraka Land Saga criminals."

Accusing Jeff of providing a stage for public money siphoners to undergo a cleansing, another tweep remarked: "A governor went there and was cleansed beyond recognition and came out of the show as a newborn with no blemishes. Jeff will invite Anne Ngirita to the show and perform the same rituals."
