City lawyer Donald Kipkorir on Thursday evening exposed the hardly known side of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's private life.
According to Kipkorir, Sonko's loyalty to his close friends is incomparable and in his words "Sonko stands up for his friends no matter the cost".
"Let me go on record to vouchsafe for Governor Mike Sonko. He opened his doors for me last year to be his friend and I have learnt a side (of him that) many don’t know," the lawyer revealed.

Kipkorir equally applauded Sonko for his dedication to public duty calling his commitment to serving his constituents "zealotry".
Sonko is arguably one of the most popular leaders given his ability to connect with the masses despite what is currently seen as failing to deliver his mandate in the city.
On his part, the county boss has publicly acknowledged the alluring touch that has seen him unbelievably trample his opponents in past elections including crunching the hotly contested Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
In the past, Sonko has reached out to other leaders including the county Woman Representative Esther Passaris and Makadara legislator George Aladwa to remain true to the course of being a voice for the oppressed in the society.
Reminding the leaders of the divine duty to protect the interests of the marginalized, Sonko once opined that not even the now-famous handshake should make them forget about getting in touch with Wananchi.
"Sisi tumechaguliwa tupiganie haki za maskini. Na mimi nassupport mambo ya handshake (We have been elected to fight for the less privileged in the society. On my part I fully support the handshake)," he noted.

"Popularity yenu itafifia na mtakua bure kama hamtatetea haki za wanyonge (Your popularity will dwindle and you will become irrelevant if you abandon the fight for justice for the oppressed),” he had warned.
