The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has refuted the rumoured withdrawal of donor funding as alleged by some media sources.
In a statement issued on Monday evening, the commission stated that they have been in touch with the donors "Contrary to reports in a section of the media alleging withdrawal of donor support to IEBC.
"We recently met partners who fund us through UNDP and IFES. They also confirmed their continued support to the Commission for all activities agreed upon," the statement indicated.

Besides, the commision revealed that the Chairman Wafula Chebukati and Commissioners had met with representatives of the EU who reiterated their support for the IEBC.
IEBC further added that the representatives of the European Union (EU) expressed their "support for the on-going Post Election Evaluation exercise."
The commision has been rocked by various internal wrangles since the August General Elections which saw one of the commissioners Roselyn Akombe resign.
There was also an apparent fallout between the Commission and the Secretariat that culminated with the suspension of the CEO Ezra Chiloba.
Chiloba has however engaged the commission in running court battles in a bid to reclaim his position in the Commision.
The alleged differences between some of the commissioners and Chiloba saw another three commissioners quit office.

This has left the commission largely incapacitated as the remaining commissioners do not meet the quorum hence cannot pass major decisions with a section of MPs calling for their resignation.
